This issue, dealing with the populations of our clients diagnosed as mentally retarded or developmentally disabled, will provide affiliates with a cogent update of practice in these areas. I want to thank the Guest Editor, Dr. Patricia (Patty) Prelock, for taking the time to gift Division 1 yet again with her expertise.
As many of you are aware, Patty is my immediate predecessor as Coordinator of Division 1. She has also served as a Steering Committee (SC) member and as Editor of Perspectives. Clearly, her dedication to Division 1 over the years goes above and beyond the average. Her outstanding contributions have helped provide the foundation for the ongoing fiscal health of the Division and superior quality of its programs, like our peer-reviewed Perspectives!.
