Response to Division 1-sponsored or co-sponsored sessions at the 2003 ASHA Convention in Chicago was excellent. Our clinical skills workshop with Dr. Fred Volkmar and Dr. Kathleen Tsatsanis and our Short Course with Dr. Volkmar and Dr. Rhea Paul were sold out. Our co-sponsored session with the Specialty Board in Child Language featuring Dr. David Dickinson was also sold out. It is exciting to see our affiliates and other ASHA members benefit from the advanced learning opportunities that were provided through these sessions that capitalized on our shared interests with professionals outside our discipline.
I’d like to note here that— though Division 1 affiliates are eligible to receive discounts for such events—space is limited and registration is not guaranteed to affiliates. So when you register for this year’s Convention and our clinical workshop, please sign up early to make sure you don’t miss out!
