Division 1 cosponsored the ASHA Schools Conference, July 9–11, 2004 in Baltimore, MD. Affiliates who attended the conference are eligible for a grant from Division 1!
To provide direct support for our affiliates in addition to cosponsoring the conference, the division has instituted a new grant. We will award two grants of $250 each to affiliates who attended the conference and submited an action plan to implement an idea or practice they learned at the conference.
We are also offering the two grantees a follow-up opportunity. If they submit a poster to the 2005 Schools Conference reporting the results of the practice implementation and it is accepted, Division 1 will pay their registration fees for that conference. The Steering Committee will also mentor them in the process of poster submission and preparation. For further information, contact Barb Ehren at Libby23@aol.com.
