This article will focus on Step 2 in the process— “efficiently tracking down the best evidence with which to answer the question” and will narrow the focus further to tracking down some of that evidence on the Internet. There are, of course, limitations with restricting searching to just the Internet, but the purpose of this article is to focus on Web-based information resources. Many speech-language pathologists may be overwhelmed by the amount of information available on the Internet and may not know where or how to start looking for answers to their questions. This article will provide information about what is currently available on the Internet related to Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in our discipline, strategies for finding it, and some precautions that need to be taken.
