I am excited to welcome you back as an affiliate of Special Interest Division 1 or perhaps welcome you to Division 1 for the very first time. One of the benefits of Division 1 affiliation that so many of you put at the top of your list of “Why I continue to be a Division 1 member” is our excellent publication, Perspectives on Language Learning and Education.
This March issue, guest edited by Sandra Gillam and Ronald Gillam, deals with the topic Applications of Evidence-Based Practice. A big thank you is due to Sandi and Ron for sharing their time and expertise with us. By tackling this topic, Sandi and Ron are carrying on the tradition of what our former Associate Coordinator, Barb Ehren, would say when she admonished the Steering Committee (SC) to always think of Division 1 as the “Division of EBP.” Enjoy!
